Preheat oven at 400°F.
Wash asparagus and discard tough ends. Break up into 2-inch pieces. Mince or garlic press cloves of garlic. Melt butter in medium skillet, then add olive oil and garlic. Simmer until garlic is lightly cooked. Add asparagus pieces and simmer 15 minutes until pieces are tender, stirring occasionally.
Roll out pizza dough to thin a crust. Spoon some of the butter and oil mixture over the crust. Place tomato slices on the crust and turn once to add garlic flavor to tomato. Distribute the asparagus pieces in a pleasing pattern on crust. Sprinkle the grated parmesan cheese over the tomatoes and asparagus. Place the sliced mozzarella slices over this and add a few sprigs of fresh basil for garnish and aroma.
Bake in oven until crust is brown and the cheese bubbles.
